Our Goal
The Environmental Credit System (ECS) is a mandatory, government enforced program focused on the ecological impact of large corporations. It is designed to encourage companies to have more sustainable practices by rewarding higher sustainability and giving consequences to those who are not.
For individual users (a subset of the main project named the Individual Credit System), participation is completely voluntary and is meant to further promote awareness on products that a consumer purchases and how they, personally, impact the environment.
How Does The System Work?
Companies are graded both on how harmful the substances are that they products and the amount of it that they put into the environment. This also means that small companies are much less affected by the consequences of the system (fees, taxes, etc.) due to the output of less waste.
Individuals are graded on how Eco-friendly the products they buy are and how much of it they purchase. When a high credit is earned, users are rewarded to a reimbursement for their efforts. Note that there are no possible negative consequences a user can face using the Individual Credit System.
What is it?
The Environmental Credit System is a regulation strategy that takes into consideration the positive and negative effects a company has on the Canadian environment.
Factors taken into consideration for a company focuses on the pollution they produce, including plastic, noise, water, air, and visual pollution.
Individual credit scoring is completely voluntary, and is graded based on the products purchased by the user. It rewards the consumer based on their intake of environmentally-friendly products.
